What is the Golden Triangle?

Golden Triangle is India’s most popular tourist circuit that connects Agra, Jaipur and India’s capital, Delhi. It is called a triangle because when you connect the three cities, the triangle shape is formed. Golden Triangle is one of the famous and well-traveled routes covering different landscapes of the country.

All these three cities are iconic tourist destinations in itself, and when traveled together, they offer you exquisite forts, hidden temples, unique traditions, rich culture, scrumptious food, and wonder of the world.

How can it be travelled?

The Golden Triangle tour usually begins from Delhi while you move to the south, i.e. Agra and then go to the west, Jaipur. You need at least five days to explore these three destinations entirely. Usually, Delhi demands two days from your itinerary. One day is given to Agra, and Jaipur-Chokhi Dhani takes the last two days.

Delhi

Delhi is hard to put in words, but yet we will try. Delhi is a land that belongs to soldiers, diplomats, journalists, politicians. It is a concoction of historic grace and modern lifestyle. It is foodie’s paradise and the ultimate shopping destination for many.

There is a wide range of places to visit in Delhi. Well, for starters, there are ancient monuments-Qutub Minar, Safdarjung Tomb, Red Fort, Humayun’s Tomb, Jantar Mantar. Delhi is also home to some of the political buildings like Rashtrapati Bhavan and Parliament House. Further, you can engage in some knowledgeable and fun activities at temples like ISKCON Temple, Akshardham Temple, Lotus Temple.

And if you have come to Delhi, you cannot leave without marking attendance at Old Delhi. After all, ‘Yeh sheher nahi mehfil hai.’

Agra

It is excellent if you look forward to visiting Agra because not just the city, but also the journey is worth looking forward to. The Yamuna Expressway is the reason behind that. It is best to seek car rental service in Delhi and take a road trip from Delhi to Agra.

The magical allure of the world of the wonder, The Taj Mahal, is what draws people to Agra. Taj Mahal is not hype, it is one of the seven wonders for a reason, and you can see it for yourself when you visit the city. However, Taj is not the sole attraction. Mughals have left a mesmerizing fort and magnificent tombs behind. And don’t forget to visit the local market to collect some souvenirs.

Jaipur

Jaipur is the country’s most flamboyant city and the land of palace windows. Famously known as the pink city, it is the picturesque capital of Rajasthan. It is India’s first planned city. At its heart, the former royal family continues to stay in the City Palace. Amber Fort, Jaigarh Fort, Nahargarh Fort are still Jaipur’s great attractions.

Do not miss Chokhi Dhani which is on the outskirts of Jaipur. This is the best place to know the real Rajasthani culture and try your hands on authentic Rajasthani food. Spend a day or stay overnight at a 5-star heritage hotel to enjoy various activities. Or pamper yourself with a luxury-drenched spa treatment. And satiate your hunger with mouth-watering Rajasthani cuisines- Dal Bati Churma, Ker Sangri, Ghevar, Gatte ki Sabzi, Mirchi Bada, Lal Maas, Spicy Curry, and the list goes on!

The Golden Triangle tour is a great way to spend some quality time with family, friends, or colleagues. The trip can be taken with all age groups, and you can choose a train, bus or car for Golden Triangle routes. The above words have been just able to give you what is there in and around the cities, but the real experience lies in visiting them.
